Cisco Systems, Inc., today provides additional information on the availability of security features announced on November 19, 2002. The new Cisco IOS(R) software functionality for IP Security (IPSec) virtual private networks (VPN) services, including support for Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), Dynamic Multipoint VPNs, Network Address Translation (NAT) transparency, and enhanced Quality of Service (QoS), is shipping today on select Cisco platforms and expected to be available across a broader set of platforms in Q2 CY'03. New inline stateful firewall and intrusion detection features in Cisco IOS software are scheduled to be available beginning in Q1 CY'03.
