A non-profit organization planning a 50-apartment complex for the elderly has won town approval, but federal and state funding remain in limbo, its president said Tuesday.
The Schenectady B'nai B'rith Housing Development Fund Co. is depending on a Housing and Urban Development mortgage and rental subsidies to fund the approximately $2.5 million apartment complex.
The apartments would be built on 5.56 acres next to the Jewish Community Center on Balltown Road.
