NSW: Knife wielding man holds police at bay
An armed man has held police at bay for two hours during a siege which brought theinner-Sydney suburb of Woolloomooloo to a standstill.
Police were alerted about 11.15am (AEDT) after a female passer-by noticed a distressedand agitated man waving a knife on the verandah of a first storey apartment.
